WAU, Western Bahr el Ghazal State, 28 July 2026 – The State High Elections Committee office of Western Bahr el Ghazal State officially launched the 2026 General Elections Civic Education and Voter Awareness Campaign at Isaac Stadium in Wau.
The event was graced by the Deputy Governor of Western Bahr el Ghazal State, H.E. Achom Edward Dimo, and attended by the Chairperson of the High State Elections Committee, Arkangelo Udu along with members of the Revitalized Transitional Government of National Unity, representatives of international organizations, and civil society organizations.
Speakers emphasized the importance of voter registration and active participation in the electoral process, stressing that voting is a fundamental right of every citizen and encouraging all eligible voters to exercise their right to freely choose their representatives.
